• Physical Qualities: area of concern for all diseases that affect the skin or basic survival needs indicate a 1st chakra and 1st auric layer concern.
• Mental Qualities: reflects one's belief about one's deservedness, identity, sexuality and other issues.
• Healing Applications: works with our basic programming, including those in our family-of-origin system. Skin disease may have a root cause in our family system belief.
  A key situation that can affect or be healed through first layer is childhood abuse issues. Abuse patterns may also be reflected in external ways, such as lifestyle, choice of clothing, career and money as well as other aspects of survival.

The feeling body. This matrix field connects our internal reality with the events, experiences and people outside of us, that are encouraging or triggering our feeling states. The colors or reflections of our feelings are expressed through this auric layer.

• Physical Qualities: Links to energies that stoke our feelings and those that carry away waste. Feelings fuel us, providing energy for appropriate response and action. If our chakras, behavior and auric fields are functioning properly, we will feel "in the flow" and energized. If not, all sorts of physical problems can abound, namely those associated with the 2nd chakra. Co-dependency, poor relationships, creativity woes (writer's block).
• Mental Qualities: Nearly everyone carries misperceptions about the validity of "okay-ness" of certain feelings. These predjudices can warp the feeling of the auric field, leaving us susceptible to imbalances, and negative situations. Affirming the feeling in our selves keeps the auric field functioning healthily.

The Mental body. Relates to the 3rd chakra. Here patterns are determined by our unique inborn and acquired intellectual abilities and gifts; Out educational experiences; and our innate and molded judge-ments and prejudices.

• Physical Qualities: Assists in opening us to energy, ideas, concepts that affect our physical lives, specifically our metabolic system. This auric field can provide us with the ideas and clarity we need to be successful at work and play.
• Mental Qualities: Links us to infinite storage of information and concepts
• Healing Applications: By working with the 3rd auric layer we can isolate thought processes and beliefs that are harming us. This layer also is used to diagnose and heal intellectual problems or learning difficulties.

This layer links us to the astral plane. Unless damaged, this field surrounds our entire body. Through the back side it connects us to the divine source. Through the front it connects us to the people with whom we have relationships. The malleable nature of this energetic layer is one of the reasons it often contains or forms cords or contractual agreements between people.

• Physical Qualities: Helps pinpoint past, current, or projected cardiovascular issues.
• Mental Qualities: Helps us to understand our ideas about relationships and our beliefs regarding deservedness.
• Healing Applications: This layer helps diagnose heart problems, and relationship issues.

Awareness of our hearts desire lies in this field. Here cords are the easiest to perceive. All cords have a negative impact on us because they limit current relationships or recreate relationship patterns.


Called the parallel field, it opens to all planes and dimensions. This layer projects images from other dimensions to us through a mirror, rather than straight forward as it is.

• Physical Qualities: Where the soul connects to the body. Can potentially re-create that which has been created in another dimension. Works with the manifestation properties of the 5th chakra.
• Mental Qualities: Connects us to the realms of endless possibilities.
• Healing Applications: Through this layer we gain access to the dimensions or actions that created our current conditions. Opportunities for change and transformation through this layer are limitless.

This layer is composed almost exclusively of light. This might be why saints and holy beings are depicted with halos around their heads.

• Physical Qualities: Enables physical manifesting and healing when we achieve a link between the light body auric layer and the white light of the Divine Source.
• Mental Qualities: Connects us to the realms of possibilities so, we can select which beliefs, truths and realities most authentically reflect us.
• Healing Applications: An excellent healing application is to first conduct Reiki on this aura, preparing it for the desired change, and then to pull this template down into the physical. Problems in this field suggest a disturbed state of self-acceptance.

This Auric layer assures that our spiritual connections to the outer world are grounded in the material. Within this layer is the link to the Kachina self (the self who best illustrates our spiritual nature on this plane). A better understanding of our spiritual abilities and gifts enables us to integrate them into our daily lives and effectively apply them to our individual situations.
